SOUND INSTALLATION

The Carriage

Sound installation for seven speakers (2024)

In the sound installation The Carriage, listeners embark on a journey through time where the vehicle, strikingly placed in the room, transports them through various soundscapes.
Starting from the Middle Ages, from the Carriage, one hears the clattering of hooves and the jingling of harnesses, surrounded by a frenetic atmosphere and music. Next comes the roaring of an engine, accompanied by equally loud motorcycles from the industrial era, followed by somewhat more civilized engine sounds and quieter ambient noises from the 20th century.
Finally, we arrive in the present day, marked by nearly silent electric motors but equally empty and thus silent spaces.
